Heard from one of my customers that they heard that you shouldn't eat the stalks from rhubard that has been hit with frost.  Any truth to this?  Why do you know?  So what they do is pull those stalks, throw away and wait for the new stalks to come up?   Thanks, and now more seasonable weather instead of 80 degrees in March.  It makes gardeners all anxious to plant that is for sure.  Thanks Becky LittererSee More

When I get in onion plants, not sets how do I keep them for selling?  I have just kept them before in a basket or box, and sometimes they dry out or they go rotten.  How do you display them to keep them till they sell?  Thanks, BeckySee More

Any of you get a phone call from the USDA about a survey?

We got a call late last night from USDA during a survey about what we grow. No problems with that, but when they asked how many we sold of mums, hosta and another perennials. I said I didn't know. Then she said that will be a no response to the survey. What do you think about this? Any concerns if they are asking too much?

Question for greenhouse owners?

We are changing our heating to the greenhouse with hotwater using an outdoor wood furnace. So with that we are changing my growing area. We want to use poly to make a curtain but with the hoops we have the brackets will not let the poly hang down. So how do we do it? I know all of you have done this, but just can't figure it out. Pictures would be good but any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Becky from Becky's Greenhouse Iowa
