Our sales are right along with previous years- we will sell out of everything before the end of Christmas week. This year people bought early because our weather has been unseasonably warm. Our weekdays are steady and busier than weekend. People price check like mad- leave and return the same day! Happens all the time, we just shake our heads and laugh. Wish I could say "see you in about two hours!" We've only had one person try and haggle the prices so far.

Permalink Reply by Kevin Wilson on December 17, 2011 at 5:35pm We are looking "Holly Jolly" this year. Cut trees, wreaths, roping & poinsettias are nearly gone. Christmas store shopping is up and moving a lot of older mechandise as well (discounts). The weather has been very cooperative. All in all it looks like a good close to the season.
Landscape sales are still strong due to the warmer weather.
Holly Jolly here! This was our first year selling trees and decorated wreaths. Trees did well, but wreaths were a bust. I think most people here in South Florida already have an artificial wreath and don't need one. Poinsettia sales are way up this year, and that's after huge increases last year. 4 1/2", 6", and 8" were the best sizes. The best part of adding to our Christmas mix was the increases elsewhere. It definitely boosted the nursery as a gift destination. Sales of garden gifts were up over 50%.
